Stock Tank Pools & Holistic Animal Wellness
Inspired by the ranch, as we say... we all know stock tank pools were originally used on the ranch for livestock.
They've come a long way over the years, are an affordable way to enjoy a backyard stock tank pool or hot tub, and we are continuing to innovate their uses to solve problems.
I have met some amazing individuals on the Stock Tank Pool Lovers Facebook group. About a week ago, I connected with Heather Dopson who owns Dopson Holistic Animal Wellness... AND, it just so happens to be HER BIRTHDAY TODAY! Happy Birthday, Heather. Crazy addition - Heather and I share the same birthday... OCT 30. Both therapists. Both animal lovers. Such a small world!
Heather offers "Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy to equines, canines and livestock. PEMF has been used for decades to improve the lives of humans and animals. PEMF is a holistic supplement that infuses the body with natural energy at a cellular level so the body can heal and regenerate, enhance it's natural recovery process, assist with muscle fatigue and discomfort after exercise, increase energy, support relaxation, and balance the body's interconnected systems."
Heather also offers animal massage and coming soon... MONTHLY MEMBERSHIPS!
She is looking into offering hydrotherapy for canines to her services, by using stock tank pools. She came across Daisy Peel's website where she talks about "Hillbilly Hydrotherapy" for canines. Daisy Peel is a canine coach, competitor and lifelong learner.
Please check out Heather's her website, services and offerings.
American Kennel Club mentions how Dr. Tari Kern, DVM, a certified canine rehabilitation practitioner at Pawsitive Steps Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine speaks on the "underwater treadmill offers better ‘on-demand’ control of an exercise program and allows modifications to be made more specific. The depth of the water and speed of the treadmill can be quickly adjusted to provide different experiences for the pet. This allows the effects of the exercise to be tailored more specifically to the overall goal of hydrotherapy and each pet’s unique needs and possible limitations.”
Hydrotherapy clinics are popping up all over the United States.
